This is going to be a long one...

Well it's safe to say that I am a terrible blogger! Lol our lives prove more and more eventful every single day! I ended up successfully planning our move. We signed the lease on a beautiful 4 bedroom, 3 bath home and cannot wait to move in! It was pretty sad leaving our friends in jax not knowing when we will see them again. I know that is the military life, but it is still rough! I have made some great friends on this journey of being a Navy wife that I know will be in my life forever! The road trip across country was fun and eventful to say the least (Of course it was eventful....3600 miles, 8 months pregnant, 2 years old twins...how could it not be!!) Here is a run down on the last 2 weeks:

So we stayed on base the last night we were in JAX since we were all moved out of our house and wanted to be able to get up and go in the morning. Well it took Anth a little longer to check out then I anticipated, so we got a late start to our first leg. The moving truck ended up getting blocked in by some cars, so that took a good hour to get it out. It was pretty stressful! Then once we finally got outta JAX we stopped at a truck stop to fuel up. Well Anth had to use the big diesel pumps and I obviously use the regular ones. Well as I was ushering the boys back to the car after diaper changes I noticed Deren kicking some dirt. I didn't think much of it because well he is a little boy and little boys are drawn to dirt! When I walked over to where he was I noticed it wasn't dirt at all...it was a baby red ant hill! Needless to say I freaked out and had to brush all the little ants off of him. Luckily I noticed it in time and he only had a couple of little bites. I was still upset and of course called my mom in tears! We drove for a good 4 hours after that and decided to stop for lunch at a Whataburger. Anth decided to join us and I told him, "Make sure you turn and park in the gas station before the Whataburger." Well there was a big truck blocking that entrance so he ended up turning into a parking lot after the Whataburger. It didn't go through, so here we were with the truck stuck again! It would have been easy to get out had it not been towing the Mustang! Ever tried backing a 26 foot moving truck towing a car out of a small parking lot?? Ya, not the easiest thing to do. Luckily we found some guys that were able to help us get it outta there. Thank goodness for the kidness of strangers, or else I think we would still be stuck there today lol. We FINALLY got to Baton Rouge, LA (our first stop) at around 10 pm. I drove ahead of Anth to the hotel that we had booked (it looked really nice online) to make sure it was decent and he would be able to get the moving truck in there. Well needless to say the hotel looked nice, but the surrounding area was very sketchy! The thing that gave me a red flag was the bail bond place that shared a parking lot! Haha so I call Anth to tell him that I did not feel comfortable there and to meet me at the Hilton a little ways away. We get to the Hilton and there is one room left! Fate?? Possibly. The hotel was super nice and I slept great! Anth went down around 8 the next morning to load everything in the car only to find out that someone had broken in over the night and stolen our gps, dvd player, box of snacks, Coach diaper bag, and a duffle bag full of Jayden and Deren's clothes. We called the police to do a report and they said there is an area with a drug problem not far from our hotel, so it was probably a "crackhead" (as he said) especially since they took our snacks. I felt totally violated and devastated that someone could do that to us! I cried...a lot...then I suddenly had a revelation. I realized that certain things happen in our lives to make us appreciate what we have. In a very strange way I suddenly felt closer to God and my family! I am so thankful that Anth stayed so strong for me this whole time. Preggo hormones? Maybe...but I am glad those first few days of the road trip happened because it has given me more faith and a deeper love for my wonderful husband!!

That was all the first couple days of travel! That second day we made it to Wichita Falls, TX, then on to ABQ where we got to see my family for a couple days. After that we headed off to Loveland to visit Anth's family. Once we were all done there, our next stop was Ogden, UT then Pendleton, OR. We left Pendleton on Sunday morning and were at our new house by 3 pm! We had some unloading help come (best money I think I have ever spent in my life lol) at 4 and the whole truck was unloaded by 5:30! I was able to get a ton of energy and I had the whole house set up (I am talking pictures on the walls, etc.) by Tuesday! It feels great to finally be settled into a place where we will be for 3 years....3 years!! 3 whole years until I have to move again! Can you tell I am excited about that?? That was the 3rd move for us in the last 2 years, so it is VERY nice to feel settled! I was able to spend the last couple of days getting everything ready for the arrival of our baby girl, so now her room is set up too! We still need a crib, but that can wait seeing as she has a bassinet and will be sleeping in that for a little while. I did all the insurance stuff and got everyone new PCMs on Monday so it's nice to have that taken care of. I had an OB appointment at the NH yesterday, but it was more just so I could get my referral out to a civilian so I can have my very important VBAC! Once that is approved I will get to start seeing the doctor that will be the one to deliver me. I am so glad and thankful that this moving journey has come to an end! It was a lot of fun (although it had it's ups and downs!) and I was a little sad that the road trip came to an end. Jayden and Deren were the best travel companions and we had a lot of fun singing songs and pointing out different things on the road. Life is such an adventure and I am so thankful for the one I have been given!! Much love to everyone!

Oh DITY move...you will be the death of me!

It seems as though every time we get one thing figured out for this move something else creeps it's way in and makes me stress out! We decided to do a DITY move...which is now called a PPM (personally procured move) which basically means we will be moving ourselves, not having a moving company do it. We decided to do this because we don't have much time before hubby leaves so we need our stuff to arrive when we do! None of this waiting for 2 weeks or more until it can get there. Well this type of move the military gives us some money upfront instead of paying a moving company. When I first budgeted I thought to myself, "The truck and tow hitch will be about $2500 and gas for both cars plus hotels and stuff will be another $1000....oh we can do this easily." Well I COMPLETELY underestimated how much gas for a 20 foot moving truck towing a car is going to take! As of now we are looking at a little over $8000 for the moving truck, gas in both vehicles, hotels, food, deposit on our new house, and other things along the way. HOLY CRAP!! That is a lot of money! We will be able to make due with savings and stuff but it is still going to be painful paying all that money...I am hoping that we get it all back plus more! I am so ready to get this dang move over with and be set up in the house! We are going to get packing materials sometime this week so I can slowly start packing things up. I am pretty sure I will start with the closet since we all know I don't fit in my clothes! Haha I am as big as a house these days!! This road trip is going to be just grand!! **GULP**

It's official....we're moving!!!

Welp...we officially got orders on Friday! I am relieved to finally know what is going to happen, but stressed at all the things that need to get done! We will be leaving Jacksonville on the 1st of April and making the cross country drive up to Washington (we will be going through NM and CO to see our families at least!! Yay) I have about 3 weeks and 4 days to get everything ready to go. I think that we found the house we want to rent, now it is just a matter of getting that all settled...as long as it has good bathrooms and a HUGE walk-in closet I am 100% sold! The house has a nice backyard with a deck and a...wait for it....wait for it... HOT TUB!! Wooo hooo!! I am a little worried about having grass, seeing as I have never mowed a lawn in my life. EEEKKK! Anthony is going to have to teach me how to do it before he leaves, or else we're not gonna have such a great looking outside lol. Maybe I will get lucky and there will be some 12 year old kid that puts signs up every week about his lawn cutting business...fingers crossed on that one! I might also need a pool boy to take care of that hot tub...maybe not...it can't be that hard...right?!?! Well now that I have gotten the fun stuff outta the way, lets move on to the stressful stuff!

About 9 days after we get to WA the hubby has to leave for about 20 days...who's counting right?? The lovely thing about that is that he will be gone while I am 35-38.5 weeks pregnant. Just lovely! I am worried I am going to go into labor and 1. have to try to drive myself to the hospital with J&D or 2. I have this little girl on the kitchen floor. HA! I know that is not likely to happen but still, I do not know a single person there! I am trying to make arrangements to insure that I will have at least a couple people there in case something happens. I never really thought we would be leaving here until after Adalyn was born. I even signed up for all the classes to take in April. Now we have the issue of trying to find a new doctor! I will be just about 34 weeks pregnant when we arrive, so I will need one asap! I have not heard great things about the Naval Hospital there, and there is a VBAC ban in every single hospital on that island! I already have chosen the hospital I want to deliver at, and have looked it up to make sure that it is on the accepted facilities list, but now I just have to make it happen. I am sooo not going to get forced into another c-section! I HAD to have one with the boys, and if it is not 100% medically necessary this time around I am not doing it...flat out! Looks like I have quite a few phone calls to make today!!

On another note...Jayden and Deren are officially no longer "sucky" dependent when they go to sleep! We cut the tips off their pacifiers last monday and it really only took a couple days for them to just stop asking completely. If they do ask for a sucky they get the ones with the tips cut off, so they throw them across the room. Now I just have to figure out potty training! How that is going to work I have no clue! We just started to really get them in the bathroom more, but now with moving then Anth being gone, plus Adalyn due soon, I feel as though they will never get potty trained! I know they will do it when they are ready, but that doesn't seem to be anytime soon! They are 100% content in diapers no matter what we try to bribe them with! Oh well...as long as they are potty trained by college! HAHA!

Where is this year going?!?!

I cannot believe it is already March! What the heck happened to January and February! I swear we were just celebrating Christmas and New Years. Life just seems to be flying by quicker and quicker everyday! I have been super exhausted the last few days! With Jayden and Deren being two and a half (officially) we decided to cut their suckies (pacifiers as they are known by the rest of the world!) so they don't want them anymore. It has been a process to say the least. They had a really hard time going to sleep the first night, but last night was a little easier and they slept almost all through the night. I was so exhausted I had one of those nights of sleep where you just pass out and don't move. Woooo weeee my body is sore from it today! Who knew that sleeping could make you feel like you worked out?!?! I think I will forever skip the gym from now on and just sleep weird...same thing right?!?!

On another note, I am 28 weeks today!!! 9 weeks away from full term, and 12 weeks away from my due date! The reality of this whole pregnancy and bringing this precious little girl into the world totally hit me yesterday at my 28 week appointment. I spoke with my doctor about my plans for a natural VBAC (which she is super supportive of!!) then after my appointment I had to head up to admitting to fill out my admission paperwork. ALREADY!! I remember doing that at 28 weeks with the boys also. Crazy how quick this is going! Baby girl is doing great in there. Her heart rate was low 140s- high 130s and my uterus is measuring right on track....even though I am HUGE!! Adalyn has flipped head down and snuggled waaaayyy down there!! No wonder I have been feeling immense amounts of pressure! The way my bladder has been feeling, the uncontrollable peeing while laughing, sneezing, coughing, walking, just basically doing anything cannot be far away. Lovely!! Just lovely! Small price to pay though :-) Well that is about as exciting as this day has been!! I am off to go hunt grizzly bears! Baha! Just kidding!

Some Good News...and Of Course Some Bad

I am not sure if I should start with the good news, or the bad...the bad really isn't that bad so I suppose I will start with that. The dream house that I spoke of in my earlier post is no longer available! Talk about a heartbreak! It was an amazing house in our budget and I could have really seen myself living there. It barely became available for rent, but as awesome as it was I am not surprised someone else scooped it up! Waaahhh!! I guess it just wasn't meant to be! I am definitely not going to obsessively look anymore at houses because there is no real point until we have official orders..not just hear say! Now on to the good news......

My OB called me today. I got a little freaked out when I saw the number calling...part of me didn't want to answer but I knew I would have to call back. She had called to tell me that all my lab results from 2 weeks ago were back, and to also let me know that I passed my 3hr glucose tolerance test (which I already knew because I stalked the nurse after it :o) Everything with my blood looks great!! I tested negative for all those weird diseases that you want to avoid and also I am NOT a carrier for cystic fibrosis!! I am so relieved to know that there is not some weird freaky infection going on and that there is no way Adalyn can have cystic fibrosis! Now just to sit and wait until the next ultrasound to see how her bowels look. I am praying everything has cleared up and it is not a blocked bowel!

Wait...what?? I started a blog?? Oh ya!

Haha leave it to me and my preggo brain to forget all about this lovely little blog! I am glad I didn't officially share it with anyone yet! A friend of mine started a blog and it reminded me of this one I have here. I really am going to try to keep up with it!! Let's see what's new in our house....

Well Jayden and Deren have OFFICIALLY reached the two and a half age mark. It is so hard for me to believe that it has already been 30 months since they forever changed my life by entering it! My babies are all grown up! Well kinda. We still have to tackle the dreaded potty training. Errr ummm....ahhhhh! Trying to get two energetic lively boys to use the potty is pretty interesting. Maybe we will have them trained by the time baby comes...fingers crossed on that one!!

Baby Adalyn is growing well. At our last ultrasound on February 14th (awww the day of love) showed that she had an echogenic bowel...whatever that means...right?!?! Apparently her bowels (you know the intestines and stuff) were glowing white just like bones do. That caused the doctor's some concern so we have to go back in a couple weeks to check it out again. I was told that it could be one of five things: 1. Absolutely nothing (fingers crossed this is what it is) 2. Cystic fibrosis (awaiting blood results to see if I am even a carrier) 3. I somehow came in contact with one of those weird pregnancy infections that is affecting her fluid intake 4. I had an interuterine hemmorage and Adalyn swallowed a little blood or 5. She has a blocked bowel (In the case of the blocked bowel they would deliver her prematurly to repair the problem so there are no long term effects. I am really hoping to avoid having a preemie. I am not really worried about it so much anymore because I trust that God will protect her and not throw anything at us we can't handle.

As many know we are moving....AGAIN! Anth is officially a winged NFO so it is almost time he joined the fleet! I have been obsessively looking at houses and I think I have found "the one!" It really doesn't do much good since we don't have orders...but hey...a girl can dream, right?!?! I am nervous and excited about moving all at the same time. It's not exactly like we are starting out fresh since we know a lot of people that are being sent there too! One of my closest friends that I have made is also moving there. (I just wish the other one was too!! Shout out to you Brittany!!) I am just sooo ready to get this move over with! It is hard to plan for baby when we don't even know where she is going to be born!! Gotta love this grand adventure we call life!!

Rough day!!

Wellll today was a rough one to say the least! Deren had a fever earlier in the week and my greatest fear came true. Just as he was getting better, Jayden came down with whatever this illness is! I am not sure where these random colds are coming from, but I must say that I am not a fan! The last cold they got...over 2 weeks ago I might add...knocked me dead in my tracks! Being pregnant and sick is horrible! I am just barely getting over it, so hopefully I do not get this new cold.

On another, more adorable note, as Anthony was leaving for the store today, a very happy cute little boy (Deren) walked by me to say good-bye. In passing he yelled, "I love you daddy!" Then he turned to me as said, "I love my daddy." Aww those little things just melt me heart!!

That is about as exciting as my day was, maybe tomorrow will hold some big adventure that will allow me to be a good blogger :o)
